「Time flies...When you're having fun!!!」　(光陰矢のごとし...それは楽しい時)　第5回

新年明けましておめでとうございます。Happy New Year!

市民の皆様がお健やかに新年を迎えられましたことを心よりお慶び申し上げます。

私が七月末に来日し京田辺に住みはじめてから、あっという間に五ヶ月が経ちました。夏に美味しい食べ物をいただき、秋に綺麗な紅葉を見て、すっかり新しい生活に慣れました。

欧米には新年の決意という習慣があり、皆が一つか二つの抱負を考えます。私はこれからも京田辺での生活を楽しみにしています。新しい年も皆様が国際交流に触れ、その楽しさを知っていただけるよう一生懸命頑張りたいと思っています。

最後に、本年が皆様にとって幸せで明るい年となりますように心よりお祈り申し上げ、新年のごあいさつといたします。今年もよろしくお願いします。

Happy new year, everyone! I hope that you all welcomed in the New Year in good health.

Five months have flown by since I came to Japan and started to live in Kyotanabe at the end of July. In the summer I ate delicious foods, and in the autumn I saw the beautiful changing leaves. I feel I have completely adjusted to my new life here.

In Europe and America, people often make "new year's resolutions." Personally, I look forward to continuing my life here in Kyotanabe. In the new year I will do my best to ensure that you, the citizens of Kyotanabe, can experience and, more importantly, enjoy international exchange.

Lastly, I wish you all a promising and joyful new year. Here's to the next five months together!
