２年に一度、10月に棚倉孫神社の秋祭に繰り出される瑞饋神輿。約30種類の野菜や穀物などで飾られた見事な神輿が、五穀豊穣に感謝して市内を巡行します。市指定無形民俗文化財。たなくらひこそうじょうもくしんかんしつづくり 天武天皇の勅願により義ぎえ淵ん僧正が創建したとされる大御堂観音寺に安置された仏像で、国宝に指定されています。木心乾漆造という技法で製作されており、奈良時代の名作として天平文化の栄華を今に伝えています。国宝に指定されている十一面観音立像、秋の紅葉が美しい一休寺、巫女が熱湯を参拝者にふりかけ無病息災を祈願する山本の百味と湯立など、歴史文化が多く残る京田辺市。たくさんの市民が竹を担ぐ二月堂竹送りや中学生が舞う大住隼人舞、瑞饋神輿巡行など歴史文化は地域の人々に大切に受け継がれています。ずいきみこしおうおみど瑞饋神輿巡行大御堂観音寺十一面観音立像大御堂観音寺History and cultures are inheritedand carefully preservedThe Eleven-faced Kannon Statue is designated a national heritage, Ikkyu-ji Temple is where visitors can view beautiful autumn leaves, Yamamoto-no-Hyakumi and Yudate is where shrine maidens sprinkle hot water onto visitors and pray for sound health.
