世界のサイクリストが集結する国際自転車ロードレース「ツアー・オブ・ジャパン」京都ステージの開催やお茶どころを巡る「茶いくるライン」の整備、飯岡の茶畑が日本遺産に登録されるなど、自転車やお茶を活かした地域活性化が盛ん。訪れる人がみんな笑顔になれる、活気に満ちたまちづくりを進めています。　豊かな木津川の自然を楽しみながら走行できる人気の自転車専用道です。京都嵐山と木津川市を結ぶ全長45㎞のコースには、多くのサイクリストが行き交います。木津川を眺めるサイクリングロード　古くからお茶の生産が盛んな飯岡地区は、丘陵地に広がる覆下茶園と集落が織りなす美しい景観が特徴です。茶文化継承の取り組みなども高く評価され、平成27年、「日本遺産」「京都府景観資産」に認定されました。日本遺産・京都府景観資産飯岡の茶畑Japanese Heritage,Kyoto Cultural Landscape HeritageTea plantation of InookaCycling road overlooking the Kizu RiverRegional vitalization using local characteristics, such as bicycles and tea plantations, is actively encouraged. That includes hosting the Kyoto stage of the Tour of Japan, an international bicycle road race of cyclists from all over the world, and organizing a cycling event called the Cycle Line, where participants enjoy cycling near famous tea spots. Iioka’s tea plantation was also registered as a part of the Japanese Heritage Sites.
