な　すEggplantsたけのこ　粘土質の土壌と豊富な地下水に恵まれ、古くからなすの栽培が盛んです。京都田辺茄子は「千両２号」という品種で、みずみずしく日持ちもよいとあって京阪神市場で人気の品。農家養成塾の開講や選果場の新設など、新たな担い手の育成・確保を図っています。Attractive city豊かな自然環境で育まれる特産品の数々。なすや玉露、朝堀りたけのこ、京のブランド産品であるえびいもなど栽培に手間暇をかけたこだわりの特産品はどれも全国で高い人気を誇っています。後継者不足や高齢化の対策として、市では農家養成塾を開講するなど担い手の育成事業や販路開拓事業などの支援に取り組んでいます。Various kinds of local specialties are grown in a rich, natural environment. The local specialties that were carefully tended during cultivation are highly popular nationwide, which include eggplants, gyokuro (high quality green tea), Kyoto bamboo shoots specially harvested in the morning, and ebi-imo which is also one of the Kyoto brand products.
